Mitsubishi . How long does it normally take for driving to be like second nature?

How long does it normally take for driving to be like second nature? I got my learners license 6 days ago and I think I'm doing pretty good. On my fifth lesson (4th hour of driving) I drive up a high, winding mountain and on my fifth lesson I was on the highway. If you'd told me a week ago I would have accomplished that by now I would have laughed. Tomorrow I'm going to drive from the gold coast to Brisbane. I haven't learnt to park yet though and I hate to think about navigating a car park! I'd never driven a car before 6 days ago, in fact I was always scared of it but now I feel like I should have got it ages ago! I feel pretty comfortable driving and I enjoy it, of course I'm still a bit nervous sometimes. How long till it will be like second nature? I'm 26 and female, if that matters. car insurance.

Mitsubishi . How to change the engine coolant in a Ford Powerstroke diesel

It is quite simple to drain the coolant from the radiator of a Ford Powerstroke diesel truck. Make sure that the engine is cool before you start. If you are flushing the coolant system, have the appropriate flush kit available. If you are draining the coolant to do other work to the vehicle, and plan on re-using it, make sure your collection container is very clean.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
a drain pan or bucket to collect the coolant, approximately 5 gallons.
a small wrench or pliers to loosen drain plug.
enough new coolant to refill the radiator.Suggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done

Step by Step :
1
Loosen the fill cap, located on the coolant fluid tank.
2
Place a drain pan or bucket under the radiator drain valve located on the bottom of the radiator. (My 7.3 liter Powerstroke diesel holds 5 gallons)
3
Loosen the drain valve. Turn it counter-clockwise with the wrench or pliers to loosen it. This will allow the coolant to run out of the spout or hole.
4
Make sure the drain pan is under the valve and drain all of the coolant out.
5
Once the radiator is empty, tighten the valve and refill the radiator.
Tips & Warnings
Use a funnel when re-filling

use a pre-mixed coolant/anti-freeze or mix according to your climate to prevent engine freezing

re-cycle or properly dispose of engine coolant. Some auto parts stores may accept used anti-freeze.

Make sue engine and coolant is cool!

do not start engine without coolant in it.

Make sure the collection container is large enough or have a second container handy.

Keep used coolant in an enclosed container so that pets don't drink it. It can be poisonous!

Mitsubishi . How to Tips for Diesel Truck Maintenance

Simple easy steps to keep your Diesel engine running at it's best.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Air filter
Diesel treatment

Step by Step :
1Letting your glow plugs cycle properly will save your engine.
In the most simple terms the best way to take care of any diesel engine is through preventive maintenance. Keeping your air filter clean, regular oil changes, and most importantly waiting until your glow plugs have cycled through will do as much in maintaining your engine as any thing else.
2dirt from your tank and fuel can kill preformance.
With each fill up at the pump, you should add a bottle of diesel treatment. It can be found at any parts store or in most cases at the same fuel station you get your fuel. Using the diesel treatment help keep the impurities from the fuel and your tank from reaching your diesel engine.
3Synthetics go in the same way as normal oil
Depending on the mileage, and normal load you carry you can also add a synthetic oil product to your engine on your next oil change, using a synthetic oil can in some cases add extra lubrication and extend your rings and seals.

' If your fluid level is low, with the emergency brake on and the gearshift in Neutral or Park, use a funnel to add a teeny bit of fluid at a time down the dipstick hole until the fluid level just reaches the "Full" line on the stick. Do not fill beyond the line; driving with too much transmission fluid can damage your transmission. If the level is low again in a couple of days, look under the car for a leak around the transmission; you may need to replace a seal. .Chapter 17: What to Do If Your Transmission Stops Running Smoothly V If your fluid level is fine but your transmission isn't working well — or if your fluid keeps disappearing and no leaks are evident — you probably need transmission work. W If your transmission fluid looks or smells burned or dirty, you may want to consider having the fluid, filter, and pan gasket changed. Transmissions should be serviced every 20,000 to 25,000 miles, but if your vehicle has more than 100,000 miles on it and the transmission fluid has never been changed, don't change it unless there are really serious reasons for doing so. The old transmission fluid has formed a deposit around the front transmission seal. If this fluid is totally replaced with fresh fluid, the 792 Car Insurance isuzu trooper 1995 ssportutility4d 98430

new stuff can dissolve the deposit, and the old seal may start to leak. In this case, I'd add just enough new fluid to bring the level up to the "Full" mark on the dipstick or as close to it as possible. Then, when the poor, neglected beast dies, have the transmission rebuilt (unless the rest of the car is dying, too). This does not mean that you shouldn't have the transmission serviced. Because you'll probably lose only 3 quarts in the process of servicing, replac ing the lost fluid shouldn't disturb the seals. If you have an all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle, don't forget to check the fluid level in the transfer case, too. The malfunctioning Vacuum modulator caper

Mitsubishi . How many people do you need in a car to drive i n a car pool lane?

Two Dodge Ram 2500 Regular Cab & Chassis.

Many older vehicles with automatic transmissions have an inexpensive device called a vacuum modulator. When the vacuum modulator goes bad, the car tends to stay in low gear all the time or shift with a bang — especially into lower gears. These little devils can suck up transmission fluid and burn it, causing white or gray smoke to emerge from the tailpipe as you shift gears. If your car has a vacuum modulator and it's easy to reach, it's worth the gamble to replace it before you consider more costly remedies. You usually only have to unscrew the old one to replace it. To be clear about the work involved, consult a service manual for your vehicle's make, model, and year at your local library. Keeping \[our britie Train Running Smoothly Your manual or automatic transmission system will work better and live longer if you have the U-joints in your drive train checked and replaced with new ones if they're loose, and if you have your differential lubricated 2 CQ Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System at regular intervals. Even if you're now lubricating your steering linkage and suspension system yourself (as I describe in Chapter 16), you should still take your car to a service station to have everything lubricated at least once a year. Check to see whether your rear end (sorry, that's the way they refer to the differential) needs lubrication. Here's how: 1. Find the inspection plug in the differential (that's the gear box between the two rear wheels of the vehicle).

2. Remove the plug. You can usually remove it by putting the square end of a ).-inch drive ratchet into the square hole in the plug. 3. If fluid drips out when you remove the plug, you're okay. If nothing comes out, add differential/manual transmission grease until it's full. If your vehicle has a limited slip or positraction rear end (very few do), it requires special fluid. Check the specifications in your owner's manual or call your dealer to find out for sure. Checking the grease level on a manual transmission is the same as checking the differential on a vehicle with an automatic transmission. You just locate

the inspection plug, remove it, and see what comes out. If nothing does, you use the same differential/manual transmission grease to fill it up again. (On vehicles with automatic transmissions, the transmission dipstick does this job for you, and automatic transmission fluid instead of gear grease is used.) Taking Care of \/om Clutch Many newer vehicles with manual transmissions have self-adjusting clutches that require no adjustment, but if you have an older model, you can cut down on the wear on your clutch disk — Chapter 9 tells you what these parts are — by keeping your clutch pedal properly adjusted. Your clutch pedal should move down % inch to 1 inch without effort and then require a good deal more effort to travel the rest of the way down to the floor. This free pedal play ensures that when you release the pedal, the clutch disk is fully engaged. Too much free pedal play is not good, either, because too much pedal travel is used up doing nothing: There's not enough movement left at the bottom of its travel to compress the clutch springs and allow the engine flywheel and the clutch disk to separate. With this excessive pedal play, the gears clash whenever you shift into First or Reverse from a stopped position. .Chapter 17: What to Do If Your Transmission Stops Running Smoothly 2 CZ(\ If there's no free pedal play on your clutch pedal, another problem can occur, even if there's enough play to allow the clutch disk to engage. In this case, the throwout bearing, which responds to pressure on the clutch pedal by causing the disk to disengage, may go on spinning. If the throwout bearing is allowed to revolve constantly in this way, it will wear out, which makes getting into or out of gear difficult. Don't ride the clutch. Riding it can wear out the throwout bearing, too. You can tell that something is wrong because the bearing makes whirring, whining sounds. If the sounds disappear when you release the clutch pedal and resume when you step on it, you have a bad throwout bearing. If you think that you have one, or if your clutch misbehaves in other ways, go to a reliable mechanic and have the clutch checked out.
